MetroCUBEvania
My first PICO-8 game ! It's a tiny "metroidvania" platformer where you play as a cube. You gain more and more abilities as you progress.
There are multiple environments, some collectables and you can find a boss fight at the end.
The controls are :
Z/X/C/V - Jump
Left/Right - Move
Down - ???
If you run into a bug please report it so I can try and fix it. Feedback is also appreciated :)

NOTE : The downloadable builds are based on version 1.1, while the online version is the newer version 1.2, which fixes some collision issues.

Wow, very professional polish for your first game. I enjoyed this a lot, there were some very tricky areas. I think the simple aesthetic is at odds with the difficulty of it, that might be why it feels surprisingly difficult.
I found it charming and sweet.

worst was boss bc sometimes I would die while ground-pounding, as well as it taking a while for me to figure out what to do

got 5 medals and 199 deaths on hard mode, I spent a long time looking for the spot to break with the down dash lol
it was fun! I wanted more. There were a couple pretty insane platforming spots but I got 5/5 medals on normal :)

565 deaths, 4 medals, with help in the lava area. I'm bad at video games, but it was a blast!
116 deaths and 5 medals on EASY. this was very difficult, but intriguing enough to continue. i wish there was a bit more music other then that it was pretty good.
edit: just played through most of the NORMAL version and it wasn't any harder

Easy mode is normal mode with a few spikes and obstacles removed.
I think the most noticable difference is in the volcano area.
I don't remember all of the changes honestly, but indeed it's not very different from normal. Only slightly easier. ^^
incredibly frustrating jumping. im used to it by now, but wow. ive kept on dying on this one jump to get a medal. gonna reload and try easy mode instead
Thanks for the little game. Finished with 5 medals and 130 deaths.
The jumping requires too much accuracy imo, too frustrating in many places. Apart from that a nice little game.
too many deaths caused by lag making jumps untimeable.

I also updated the game to version 1.1
It now has an "easy" option, hopefully making the game less frustrating.
